"What you do for the least of these you also do for me."

These words are found in chapter 25 of Matthew's gospel and they are our call to help anyone in need. Your donation to Grace Episcopal Church helps us continue such ministries as our thrift shop and food pantry as well as providing a place of solace, comfort and support. Thank you for your donation.

You may specify where you'd like your donation to go if you choose.

Please consider making an ongoing pledge to sustain the ministry of Grace. A few words from our pledge keeper, Barbara Marcisak:

In the Episcopal Church, parishes are responsible for raising the funds to support the church's annual operating budget.  We do this through the pledges that are offered by our parishioners, donations and fundraising activities.

Why is pledging important? Pledging allows you to make an intentional decision about your financial giving.  When you plan ahead for your giving, you are making a conscious choice about spending your money in ways that reflect your faith and values.  Receiving your pledge allows our Vestry, the church’s governing board, to do for our parish community what you do for your own household: plan wisely for the use of our resources. The Vestry sets its annual budget based on the total amount pledged to the church.  While regular giving that is not pledged is important to the parish, your pledge lets the Vestry plan more accurately for the ministries we can accomplish.

Tithing is giving 10% of what you earn to God.  Have you ever wondered how your life would change if you were to give a tithe to the church?  Perhaps you can begin your pledge with less than 10% and gradually increase your giving.  Remember that 2.5% is equal to pledging the first hour’s pay of a 40-hour work week.

Grace Church is grateful for all donations, which help us carry on the
ministry of the Church.

Other ways to give

Thrift Shop donations can be made to the enclosed shed located in our parking lot or inside on Sundays. Please note there are times donations are not accepted when the staff is reviewing and sorting. Please see the banner on the shed, or you may call the office at 718-767-6305 to check if donations are accepted at that time (costume jewelry, clothes, dishes, pots are high demand). Please do not leave items on sidewalk.

Food Pantry donations can be placed in the offering baskets on Sundays during service (fresh goods can be dropped off the day of food pantry or call to make arrangements) (tomato sauce, cereals, peanut butter, legumes, all types of beans are always needed).
